Rovalty works when a brand wants to pay creators per verified view, or a creator wants that income. Buy Me a Coffee is the better pick for one-off support, memberships and a simple shop, with no monthly cost. Rovalty has no supporter features, so it can only sit next to it.
Our pick, for brands paying creators per view. Written by Rovalty and last checked .Buy Me a Coffee lets supporters send one-time payments, join memberships and buy from a shop, with free posts and email. It charges 5% and nothing monthly. A creator using it can add brand view campaigns as separate income. A founder wanting promotion needs a campaign, which is what Rovalty runs.
Besides the 5%, the help center lists 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction, 0.5% on payouts, 1% extra on payments from outside the US, and 0.5% extra on subscriptions. Small payments feel the 30 cents most.
The product is built around supporters, memberships and shop sales. That's a lovely way to earn from people who like you, but your income tracks your existing fans. Nothing in the FAQ covers paid work for brands.
The site describes supports, memberships, shop items, posts and email. Nothing there lets a brand pay creators to post about it, or counts the views if they do. Those needs sit outside what it's for.
In a Rovalty campaign, the money comes from a brand and depends on verified views. That's a different deal from asking supporters for help, and you can do both.
Rovalty takes 0% commission. The brand pays a flat plan and then pays you directly. Statements close on Mondays, and amounts under $25 roll over to the next one.
Rovalty has no supporter payments, memberships, shop, posts or email. Your Buy Me a Coffee page keeps doing those jobs, and nothing about your supporters needs to change.

They don't compete for the same money. One collects from people who like you, and the other tracks what a brand owes for views.

Rovalty's plan is set by tracked views, not sales. Growth is shown as an example.
Source: This compares Buy Me a Coffee's 5% on supporter payments, leaving out Stripe's fees, with a flat Rovalty plan. It isn't like for like. The first is a creator's cost, and the second is a brand's.
Some of these collect from fans at other fee levels. Others pay creators with brand money, so the work is different.
| Tool | Pays on | Cost or fee |

Kajabi combines courses, communities, websites and email in one platform and says it takes no revenue share. Plans start at $179 a month, and its affiliates, on Growth and up, earn on sales rather than views.
Teachable hosts courses, coaching and digital products, with unlimited students on its main plans. Starter still takes 7.5% of sales, and its affiliates on higher plans earn a share of revenue rather than pay for views.
Patreon gives creators memberships, digital sales and community tools, paid for by their own fans. It takes a 10% platform fee from new creators, and it doesn't offer brand campaigns paid on views.
Ko-fi lets fans tip creators and buy shop items, commissions and memberships, with no monthly cost on its free option. It still takes 5% on non-tip sales without Gold, and it offers no brand pay based on views.
Tolstoy creates AI product content and adds shoppable video and virtual try-on to your storefront. Its pricing covers credits and store viewers, and it describes no way to pay creators by views.
Billo gives brands a vetted creator network and approved videos with full usage rights for paid ads. Its fee sits inside the per-video price, and pay isn't tied to the views a video earns.
GRIN combines creator discovery, a CRM, gifting and affiliate programs, and publishes its plans openly. It adds a 5% to 20% management fee to the money brands deposit in its wallet.
Upfluence pairs creator search with store connections that tie sales to individual creators, for a fixed fee quoted after a demo. It takes no share of sales, but it has no described way to pay by verified views.
Klear is now part of Meltwater Influencer Marketing, which covers discovery, fraud checks, gifting and integrated payments. Its price is a custom quote, and it describes no per-view creator pay.
There's no import, and nothing to move. Supporters, memberships, shop items and posts stay on Buy Me a Coffee.
Creators join through a page a brand shares, because Rovalty isn't a hiring marketplace. Sign in with Google and link your TikTok, Instagram or YouTube accounts.
Add the required mention, name or link, and submit your video. A brand launching its own campaign shares its page with creators, then pays them directly from the weekly statement.
Stay on Buy Me a Coffee if you want an easy page for support, memberships or a small shop, with no monthly bill. Rovalty offers none of these. Look at Rovalty only if you'd also like brand view pay, or if you're a brand wanting creators to post about you.
