Affiliate orders add 3%
Lemon Squeezy's docs say it charges a 3% fee on each order referred by an affiliate, on top of the normal platform fee. You also pay the affiliate's commission. Their worked example shows both on a $20 product.

Lemon Squeezy takes 5% + 50¢ per sale and handles payments and tax. Rovalty handles none of that. It tracks creator videos so you can pay per 1,000 views.

Rovalty helps software teams that want creators showing their product and paid per verified view. Lemon Squeezy is the better pick if you need checkout, subscriptions and sales tax handled, which Rovalty doesn't touch. They solve separate problems, so a SaaS team could use billing there and campaigns here.
Our pick, for brands paying creators per view. Written by Rovalty and last checked .Lemon Squeezy is a payments, tax and subscription platform for software and digital products. It acts as the legal seller for you. Stripe bought it in 2024. A founder can add Rovalty for creator promotion and leave billing alone. A creator selling through it can still join brand view campaigns.

The affiliate tools are built around commission on referred sales. For software, a video may bring trials that convert much later, or not through that link. Nothing in these docs prices the views themselves.
A January 2026 post from the CEO says the team spent the past year building Stripe Managed Payments, which meant slower support and fewer updates, and that the aim is an easy way to migrate. Check the current state before building on it.
Creators post about your product on TikTok, Instagram or YouTube, with a required mention, name or link in the caption. You pay per 1,000 views, so a demo that reaches people gets paid even before anyone starts a trial.
Rovalty doesn't handle subscriptions, sales tax or license keys, so it can't cover what Lemon Squeezy does. Whatever you use for billing stays. This is a separate tool with one job.
Campaigns set a rate, minimum views, a per-video cap and a budget. Plans start free at 10,000 tracked views and reach $79 for 2,000,000 with fraud checks. Rovalty takes 0% commission.

There's no contest on features, since the overlap is close to zero. It comes down to whether your open problem is collecting money or getting noticed.

Source: This compares Lemon Squeezy's 5% on sales, leaving out its 50¢ per order and any extras, with a flat Rovalty plan. It isn't like for like, because that fee covers payments and tax.
Not all of these handle tax or billing. Several only do creator promotion, so read each one for what it covers.

Fourthwall gives creators a shop, fulfilled merch, digital goods and memberships. It takes a cut on digital and membership sales, and its help page says it has no feature for paying people who promote your shop.
Stan gives creators a simple store for courses, bookings and digital products, and it takes no cut of sales. It still charges a monthly plan, and its affiliates are paid on sales rather than views.
Beacons bundles a link in bio, store, email and a media kit that creators use to pitch brands. Lower plans take 9% of sales, and the creator pages we read describe deals priced per piece, not pay per view.
Gumroad lets anyone sell digital products with no monthly charge, and it's quick to start. It earns through fees on each sale, 10% plus 50¢ or 30% through Discover, and nothing is priced on views.
Patreon gives creators memberships, digital sales and community tools, paid for by their own fans. It takes a 10% platform fee from new creators, and it doesn't offer brand campaigns paid on views.
Ko-fi lets fans tip creators and buy shop items, commissions and memberships, with no monthly cost on its free option. It still takes 5% on non-tip sales without Gold, and it offers no brand pay based on views.
Buy Me a Coffee gives creators one-time support, memberships and a shop, with free posts and email. It takes 5% per transaction plus Stripe fees, and it has no way for brands to pay on views.
Whop Content Rewards lets a seller set a rate per 1,000 views, review submissions and have Whop pay creators. It suits teams that don't want to send payments, and it deducts 10% of amounts paid for that.
Vyro takes your footage and a funded budget, then its clippers post and its team reviews every post. Its help center mentions fees without publishing a percentage, and the money runs through its wallet.
Rovalty needs no connection to your checkout and imports no data. Customers, subscriptions and tax all stay with your current provider.
Start free at yourbrand.rovalty.com, or use creators.yourbrand.com on a paid plan. Add your rate per 1,000 views, per-video cap, budget and caption rule.
Share the page with creators you want. They link their accounts and submit videos, and you pay them yourself from each weekly statement. Any affiliates you have keep their setup.
Stay with Lemon Squeezy or a similar billing tool if you need payments, subscriptions and sales tax handled. Rovalty does none of it and you still need something that does. Rovalty is only worth adding if creator videos are a channel you want to test at a set price per view.
